Merry Christmas
We made it home from our distant travels just in time to get into the holiday spirit. Our community center put on a 'breakfast' with Santa, which the boys loved! Wyatt was the brave guy this year and even sat on Santa's lap. He didn't actually talk but he did nod which was very cute. Then we did a little Julebukking which is a Norwegian tradition where the local merchants provide food and drink to the community to thank them for their patronage that year. So, long story short - we ate as much as possible. Since this is the land of seafood we had lots of smoked salmon, huge cocktail shrimp & halibut. For Christmas Eve we made a turkey & ham & had friends at our house. We really talked up the idea of Santa putting presents under the tree to Wyatt. He put cookies on a plate and laid out his stalking. Then at 2a.m. Wyatt woke up screaming "TREE", we finally got him to sleep until about 5:30a.m. Then our fun began!
