Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! We made the best of our first Christmas in Petersburg by cutting down a tree for the first time since our move to Alaska. Unfortunately it was cold and snowy out and both boys were passed out in the truck, so our tree hunting was a little like deer poaching. We drove down the road till we saw one the right size, then Cody hopped out and harvested it! Even though it was a little Charlie Brown-ish it looked pretty all lit up in our new house. We decorated it with 2 strands of lights and 36 candy canes. At the time I was a little disappointed, but looking back it amazes me how good the holidays can be when we keep it simple.
